HTEC Welcomes Steven Piepgrass as Chief Operations Officer

Vancouver, BC – January 22, 2025: HTEC is pleased to welcome Steven Piepgrass as Chief Operations Officer. Steven brings over 20 years of experience across the energy sector, with a focus on clean energy solutions and operational excellence. His extensive background includes involvement in large-scale projects, strategic growth initiatives, and innovative energy strategies, making him a strong addition to HTEC’s leadership team. As COO, Steven will oversee Engineering, supporting the execution of projects and key initiatives that drive the safe and reliable availability and adoption of low-carbon hydrogen forward.

Before joining HTEC, Steven held senior leadership roles at Green Impact Partners and ATCO Group. At Green Impact Partners, he led projects converting organic waste into renewable natural gas and supported the development of a large bioethanol and renewable natural gas facility (Future Energy Park) in Calgary. During his time at ATCO Group, he managed diverse large-scale projects, including natural gas pipelines, midstream natural gas decommissioning and disposition, industrial water systems and salt cavern hydrocarbon storage. He also contributed to research on hydrogen blending in gas distribution systems and explored mid- and long-term storage solutions in salt caverns.
